DevOps resumes are strongest when they read like a reliability ledger, not a tool inventory. Anyone can list Terraform, Kubernetes, and three clouds; far fewer can write “Cut mean time to recovery from 90 to 12 minutes” or “Reduced monthly cloud spend $43K by right-sizing and spot adoption.” Frame every bullet around the four numbers this discipline is judged on: uptime, deploy frequency, recovery time, and cost. Name the scale — clusters, requests per second, engineers served — because “managed Kubernetes” at 6 nodes and at 600 are different jobs. Keep certifications (AWS, CKA) in their own section: ATS filters frequently match on the exact certification name, and recruiters scan for them. Mirror the posting’s vocabulary — “platform engineer,” “SRE,” and “DevOps” get filtered as different strings even when the work is identical, so use the title the employer uses somewhere truthful, such as your headline or summary. Avoid burying automation wins inside prose; screeners skim bullets only. And resist diagram-heavy or two-column creative layouts — infrastructure hiring is exactly where resumes get parsed by machines first, which is why this example uses a cleanly linear template that exports the same way it previews.
